A Note For Parents
Coding can be challenging for beginners, and students will occasionally encounter errors they do not immediately understand. Problem-solving and persistence are a major part of the course. Students do not need to know every answer—they need to be willing to work through problems and ask for help when they need it.
Students should be comfortable with basic computer skills, typing, following on-screen directions, staying engaged during a 90-minute class with appropriate breaks, and treating classmates, instructors, computers, and online tools respectfully.
